Rules
- The game begins with a couplet from the library.
- Your couplet must begin with the last letter of the previous couplet. In Urdu, ے and ی count as the same letter, and so do ں and ن, following common practice.
- A couplet cannot be used twice in one game.
- We check your couplet against our library. If we find it, we show the poet. If not, it is marked unverified: in practice mode it is accepted unless you chose strict mode, and in pass-and-play the other players decide.
- In practice mode, if the library has no unused couplet for your letter, you win the round.
This game runs in your browser. Online multiplayer is not available.

About Bait-Bazi
Bait-Bazi (بیت بازی) has been played in schools, colleges and literary gatherings across South Asia for generations. It rewards memory and a love of verse more than speed. Our version checks each couplet against the Lafzon Ki Dunia library and shows the poet when it finds a match.
Can I play in Roman Urdu or Hindi?
Yes. Choose the script before you start. Letters are compared within that script.
Is there online multiplayer?
Not yet. The game runs in your browser: practise against the library, or play pass-and-play on one device.
